This Week In SoulBounce: Is Nicki Minaj Really Dating Eminem?, SZA Sidelined Due To Vocal Cords, A Kendrick Lamar Fan Reignites 'N-Word' Debate & More

Hip-Hop's 'N-Word' Debate Reignites After Kendrick Lamar Fan Says It When Brought Up On Stage

Speaking of TDE, SZA's label cohort Kendrick Lamar also made headlines this week when an overeager white fan he brought on stage at a recent show got a little too friendly with a particular word. During her hyped rendition of "M.A.A.D. City" (which has a considerable of amount of "n****s" in it thanks to the chorus), the fan, who is white, must've slipped and bumped her little head because she let the n-word fly a couple times. Kendrick kindly stopped the confused child, letting her know that she "gotta bleep one word." He then gave her another chance before just saying bump it and getting everyone off the stage altogether and moving on.

This, of course, sparked debate about hip-hop's use of the word, even making it onto an episode of The View, with many folks weighing in on who should be able to say it. It might have even inspired some other foolywang that we'll get to in just a bit. But, when it comes down to it, if you're not black, your best bet is to keep the word out of your mouth. #DontDontDoIt
