The #MuteRKelly Campaign Gains Steam
We at SoulBounce have vowed to make the site an R. Kelly-free place from here on out. However, we'd be remiss if we didn't cover the burgeoning #MuteRKelly campaign that is gaining steam. The campaign, started by the Time's Up Women of Color Coalition, is singling out Kelly not only for the numerous allegations against the singer-songwriter, including accusations of abuse and him having inappropriate sexual contact with minors, that have dogged him since 2002. So far, the movement has gotten the support of artists like John Legend, Questlove and many others. Kelly, on the other hand, is fighting back in the court of public opinion, comparing the movement's efforts to modern-day lynching via a statement from his lawyers. We can't roll our eyes hard enough at that ridiculousness. #BoyBye
