A few months ago, Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign announced their collaborative project Mihty, and now they're giving us their first release, "The Light." The duo just delivered a lyric video to make sure you can sing along to the radio-ready single about hooking up. It's clear the fellas are ready to get it on and popping as Ty starts off the track singing, "Let's have sex, but not without the foreplay / But not without the first date / Not before I have to wonder if you'll let me hit if I walk you to your doorway." The single also has an old-school vibe with its sample of Keni Burke's "Risin' To The Top" that's perfect for a summer kickback or baecation.
The actual video is a collage of images of Jeremih and Ty with a pop art theme. The animated lyrics that pop up on the screen follow the beat of the music and include images of beautiful women and the singers, creating their own soulful comic book. Straight and to the point, the video is as colorful as the track and worth watching to see what you can expect from the duo.
Along with releasing the new project with Ty, it looks like Jeremih is maximizing his summer with a tour alongside Teyana Taylor and friends, which goes from Florida at the top of August to Portland by September.
