This Week In SoulBounce: Ella Mai Reaches Rare Air On Radio Charts, Cardi B Pulls Out Of Bruno Mars Tour, Drake's Still Got Everyone In Their Feelings & More

Ella Mai Becomes First Woman To Top R&B/Hip-Hop Radio Charts Since 2012

Hate it or love it, "Boo'd Up" is officially at song of the summer status. The surprise hit has boosted Ella Mai's profile in a big way that she now finds herself in the company of performers like Beyoncé — on the radio at least. "Boo'd Up" currently sits in the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, Adult R&B Songs and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts. It's the first time a song's achieved the feat since Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" accomplished the hat trick last year. Most remarkably though, it marks the first time in six years that a song by a woman in either a lead or featured position has achieved the feat since 2012, when Bey dominated with her hit "Love On Top." With Ella rumored to release a new single soon, let's hope she can keep the same momentum. #BoodUpUpAndAway
