Earlier this week 6LACK announced the title of his sophomore album, East Atlanta Love Letter. He hasn't shared the tracklist or release date yet, but he did drop off a new single "Nonchalant" and its music video.
Following the theme of previous single “Switch,” 6LACK is still discussing the trials and tribulations of his new life post-fame. However, his introspective flow is more than just navel-gazing; the artist talks about his love for his fans, discusses never falling off and addresses his haters. The track is full of memorable bars like, “My nonchalant flow will never end right / It be at they necks if it’s in sight / Squeezin’ until it crack a windpipe.” For the track's visual, 6LACK traveled across the seas, filming himself alone in nature talking big s**t with sandy beaches, plush forests and icy seas serving as the backdrop. Basically, he’s walking around these beautiful places like it’s nothing as he regales us nonchalantly with his expert flow.
In addition to his new album, 6LACK will also be spending some time on the road on his From East Atlanta With Love Tour. The singer will be spending time not only in the states but traveling to South Africa and Australia. He’ll be joined by Tierra Whack, Summer Walker, THEY. and Boogie.
