Singer/musician ZHU continues down an intoxicatingly mysterious lane of his own with his latest single “Coming Home.” It finds the phantom artist teaming up with OVO duo Majid Jordan to create a tune that has all the fiery and flirty goodness we loved about R&B from the '90s and the 2000s.
ZHU first performed the sultry single at California’s Lightning In A Bottle Festival in May. Though it was well-received by the crowd, the track feels as if it were made for a more intimate setting, complete with candlelight and the adult beverage of your choice. The laid-back tune has just enough groove to elicit a slight bop and tells the tale of a man reassuring his lover that his desire remains no matter how far apart they are from one another. Majid Al-askati sings, “When you're cold and lonely with no one left to call / And distance is unfriendly to your achin' heart / Call on me, don't worry, you know you are / The love of my life even when you're far.” The smooth and downright infectious nature of the song makes it the perfect addition to one’s sexy playlist.
