Masego & Tiffany Gouché Praise Black Women On 'Queen Tings'

Just before the release of his debut studio album Lady, Lady, multi-talented musician Masego previews more jazzy, soulful goodness from the collection. With the help of singer/songwriter Tiffany Gouché, he continues his praise of the Most High’s greatest creation: The Black Woman. On the aptly entitled single “Queen Tings,” Uncle Sego shouts out some of the movie and music industry’s finest singing, “I see Lupita / You know I got the jones, for my own Rashida / Can you put me on with Danai Gurira / She stay on my dome.” Tiffany chimes in on the last verse, putting her mack down while she sings, “I'll pick you up, pick you up / And put you on ya throne / You were made to reign, girl / Sunshine in my world / I do it all 'cause you my queen.”

Fans have been chomping at the bit in anticipation of Masego’s upcoming release. He describes the album, which goes by the same title as its lead single, as an aural depiction of his future dream world and says, “I write about love so I can keep focused on the true goal. To be with my lady, lady and travel with her and have my lil’ family unit.” We’ve peeped this focus, watched his art evolve and have noted all that the TrapHouseJazz pioneer is capable of. Though we’ve gotten our entire lives to the project’s three singles, which also includes the fly auntie anthem "Old Age" featuring SiR, we suspect the best is yet to come.

Adjust your crown and give Masego and Tiffany Gouché’s “Queen Tings” a spin below. The wait is just about over so be sure to cop Lady, Lady when it drops at midnight tonight.  As requested by Uncle Sego himself, practice the lyrics to the new music and join him as he headlines his tour across Europe and North America this fall.
