Tamar Braxton Opens Up To Wendy Williams About Past Sexual Abuse
There's been a lot of drama going on with the Braxton Family these days and a recent episode with Iyanla Vanzant caused so much drama that baby sister Tamar Braxton walked off set. This week on The Wendy Williams Show, Tamar shockingly revealed that she was molested as a child by members on both sides of her family. As if that revelation wasn't enough, she also told the talk show host that she walked off set with Iyanla because she felt that the television personality attempted to sex shame her over the abuse.
After making that statement (and detailing her relationship with her new beau), Tamar took to Instagram to continue the discussion. "Since someone there decided that they would ask me about something so private, so embarrassing, so secretive in front of EVERYONE that was there, I felt like my life was flashing before my eyes and IMMEDIATELY started to cry," she wrote in the caption. "Not because someone decided to allow someone else to tell MY SECRET, not because I was asked if it were True in front of a hundred strangers, but because once again my right to choose was taken from me all over again." Later in the caption, she gives hope to survivors, writing, "I wanted to create a space where you can tell your OWN story with out anyone commenting or making you feel ashamed EVER again!!
