Suge Knight Pleads Guilty, Sentenced to 28 Years In Prison
In news that's sure to have Vanilla Ice sleeping better at night, Suge Knight is set to do some serious jail time now that his murder trial has ended. The Death Row Records co-founder accepted a plea deal in the case that demoted the charge to manslaughter while ensuring that he will serve a 28-year sentence for a 2015 incident in which he rammed his truck into Terry Carter, striking and killing him. A manslaughter conviction would normally come with an 11-year sentence, but it was doubled because of Suge's prior felony conviction. Six years were also added to the sentence because he was also charged with using a deadly weapon to commit a violent felony. #LockedUp
