Chaka Khan Named Grand Marshal For 2019 Rose Parade
Next year's Rose Parade will have a little bit of extra soul. That's because iconic soul diva Chaka Khan herself has been named the grand marshal of the annual event, which will have the theme of "The Melody Of Life." Ms. Khan will take her ride through Pasadena, California on New Year's Day just before the 105th annual Rose Bowl. Tournament of Roses President Gerald Freeny praised Chaka's work as an activist in announcing her selection. Chaka also expressed her gratitude and said she was honored to be chosen. #TheSoulfulRose
