Tom Misch & De La Soul Get Groovy For 'It Runs Through Me'

Here at SoulBounce headquarters, Tom Misch has been a fixture on our playlists for the entire year. Even before the April premiere of his album Geography, he had us hooked thanks to a handful of tempting teasers. One tune that immediately became a favorite was "It Runs Through Me." The swanky groove, a perfect blend of jazz, Latin rhythms and hip-hop beats, was bolstered even further by an assist from De La Soul. The track has finally received a visual treatment, and like the track itself, issa vibe.

Via press release, Tom reveals, "I've recently been listening to a lot of funk and soul from the 70s and 80s...but I also love the aesthetics of this era and wanted to incorporate it into this video." Director Joshua Osborne brought this concept to life, creating a retro studio scene complete with hip cats, foxy mamas and musicians that are downright dyn-o-mite! There's even a creative cameo by Posdnuos, who keeps the good vibes flowing with his skillful rhymes. While we wished he could've dressed for the occasion (an afro wig, an apple hat, chest hair...something!), Tom and his crew made this clip feel like a groovy blast from the past.

Watch the clip below and visit Tom's website to view the remaining dates of his Geography Tour. Most of the shows are already sold out, but having seen Mr. Misch perform live, trust us when we tell you it's worth a shot to try and get some tickets.
