Bounce-Worthy: Lucky Daye

Lucky has a unique style all his own. Sure, the talk-singing style that he utilizes on the verses of songs like "Concentrate" fits in line with the Bryson Tillers and Frank Oceans of the world. But as that song shows, there's much more he has to offer than that. The chorus finds him tapping into a falsetto that immediately makes listener's ears perk up and take notice. That, coupled with D'Mile's playful blend of soul both new and old on the track make it a standout among songs that get more and more impressive as the EP moves along.

is just the first taste of Lucky we'll be getting, as the EP is the beginning of a planned trilogy of releases that will end with the release of his debut album Painted on RCA/Keep Cool. And he has even more on the horizon. "I have a few things in the works," he told ESSENCE. "I’m hoping to go on tour soon. I want to get on stage. I want to meet people that I touched with my music. I want to feel the love." After listening to I, we have no doubt that he'll be getting a lot of love for years to come.
