Aretha Franklin's 'Amazing Grace' Film To Finally Be Released

Queen Of Soul Aretha Franklin may have gone on to glory, but her legacy still lives on. She even still has hidden gems that are finally seeing the light of day. Her gospel concert film Amazing Grace has long been sought-after since it was shot and then abandoned 46 years ago. Now, however, the film is finally set for release. It's already slated to appear as part of DOC NYC on November 12th and is even being screened in short runs for Oscar consideration. Aretha's estate and producer Alan Elliott also hope to find a distributor for a wide release sometime next year. Looks like one of Aretha's most heralded and transcendent performances won't get lost in the shuffle of time after all. #AmazingAretha
