Questlove Curates 300-Song Soundtrack for Michelle Obama's Book

We've been immersed in Michelle Obama's new book Becoming since it dropped but now that we know that it has its own soundtrack, we're about to get even more into it. Mrs. O tapped The Roots' own Questlove to curate a 300-song (!!!) soundtrack for the tome. Questo came through big time, separating the songs into three playlists spanning from 1964 until modern day and calling the whole shebang The Michelle Obama Musiaqualogy. Those lucky enough to have tickets to her many events surrounding the new book will able to hear the playlist in person. Everyone else can get a listen via Spotify, where all three playlists reside in full. According to Quest, volumes 1 and 2 of the playlist are meant to be played in order while volume 3 is meant to be played on shuffle. "Like a lot of people, I connect many of my memories with the songs and melodies I was listening to at the time," Michelle said in a statement to Billboard. "From the jazz and Stevie Wonder of my childhood, to Prince and Earth, Wind & Fire as I came into my own as an adult, to BeyoncéJanelle Monáe, and so many others who provided the stirring backbeats of my time in the White House — music has always been a defining part of who I've become." #EverySheroNeedsHerThemeMusic
