Ariana Grande Embraces Friendship & A Few Of Her Favorite Things On '7 rings'

While "thank u, next" found Ariana Grande moving on from her past relationships with grace, her new single "7 rings" finds the singer embracing bad b***h behavior and the healing power of friendship. In fact, the song was written after a particularly rough day where her friends decided to take her to Tiffany’s to cheer the singer up. They ended up having too much champagne and Grande bought each of her friends a ring from the high-end jeweler.

“Wearing a ring but not cause I’m no Mrs. / Bought matching diamonds for 6 of my b***hes / I’d rather spoil all my friends with my riches,” she sing-raps over a poppy trap beat. The track takes a few cues from the Rogers & Hammerstein classic "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music as Grande takes comfort in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s /And bottles of bubbles / Girls with tattoos who like getting in trouble / Lashes and diamonds / ATM machines.”

The video looks like Ariana gave 2 Chainz’s Pink Trap House a slight makeover. Grande and friends frolic over a yard full of old school pink, big-body Chevys. On the inside, the girls enjoy towers of champagne, do dramatic poses around the house and basically have, like, the best house party ever.
