Jungle Proves That A 'Casio' Can Still Deliver A Funky Groove

We've been crushing hard on Jungle's latest album For Ever for the past few months. Can you blame us? The talented Brits masterfully avoided the sophomore slump with a collection of soulful chillwave and funky grooves. Besides, anything billed as a "post-apocalyptic radio station playing break up songs” is worth a listen. And the accompanying quartet of visuals has proven that it's worth a view as well. Current single "Casio" fits right in the pocket, then – with themes of heartbreak and longing, plus a music video that's captivating and just plain fun to watch.

Like For Ever's previous visuals, "Casio" is directed by Jungle frontman Josh Lloyd-Watson and frequent collaborator Charlie Di Placido. It also features a crew of talented dancers – many of whom put in work on "Heavy, California" and "Cherry" – all impressively choreographed by Jungle member Nat Zangi. Yet, for all its similarities, "Casio" isn't simply more of the same. It's a funky, uptempo groove that entices us to say "thank you, next" by dancing the heartbreak away. Full disclosure: the infectious hook had us singing along to the electric tune while we watched the video more than a few times in an attempt to master intricate moves that look effortlessly cool. Meanwhile, the nod to 2015 track "Julia" at the end is a playful wink that longtime fans will appreciate.

Check out "Casio" below, then make plans to see Jungle perform it live during their extensive world tour. Tickets can be purchased through their website and For Ever is currently available via your favorite DSP.
