Everybody loves a good sequel right? Well so do Cardi B and Bruno Mars. The GRAMMY Award-winning artists (congrats Cardi!) struck gold when the raptress joined Bruno for a remix of his hit "Finesse." Now it looks like the singer is paying back Cardi's favor by hopping on their brand new collaboration "Please Me."
The track finds the two traveling back in musical time, this time channeling early '90s bedroom jams, complete with synths and vocoder vocals to get listeners in the mood. However, since Cardi is taking the lead here, there's a bit more edge to the proceedings. Bruno is relegated to hook man, singing, "Please me, baby / Turn around and just tease me, baby." Once he's done, it's Cardi's turn to seduce as she lays out her plans for sexual domination. "Lollipoppin', twerkin' in some J's," she raps as she sets the scene. However, while she might be teasing, she makes it clear that she ain't here for play. "Don't want no young, dumb s**t," she declares. "Better f**k me like we listenin' to Jodeci."
The musical chemistry between Cardi B and Bruno Mars is pretty much undeniable at this point. Consider this song another bop for them to put under their hit-making belts. Don't tease yourself, go ahead and press play on "Please Me" below.
