For some reason, it still feels like folks are sleeping on Leikeli47. The still somewhat mysterious rapper/singer has released two album's of straight heat thus far and been featured on the soundtracks of some of your favorite shows but she's still rocking the "up-and-coming" label when it comes to her career. Hopefully that changes soon. And perhaps it will if she keeps rising to the challenge when given opportunities to shine as she did during a recent stop at NPR's famed Tiny Desk Concert series.

Leikeli47 rocked a pink sweatsuit and matching bandanna/balaclava for the occasion and brought her crew The TSA Band to perform a few of her jams for the audience. She started with the familiar drum cadence of "Attitude," though she took it a step further, with the band weaving in Soho's house classic "Hot Music" to keep things fly. Then she automatically transitioned to selections from her recent set Acrylic. She and the band vibed along to "Droppin'," and she even flexed her singing skills for "CIAA." Following that, she gave her keyboardist Portier some shine on "Let's Get Stoned (Portier's Vibe)." After getting everyone high off their vocal chemistry, the crew then took us through her gully joint "Girl Blunt" (which was also featured on the Season 3 soundtrack for Insecure) before ending things with a little motivation from her hit "Money."

Though it was a bit more subdued than her live show normally is, this particular showing allowed Leikeli47 that she's a versatile star and a force to be reckoned with in her own right. We personally can't wait to see what she does next.
