Lifetime Announces Salt-N-Pepa Miniseries
With all the biopics going around, it's quite surprising that the life story of female rap pioneers Salt-N-Pepa hasn't been tapped to be on the screen. Well, that will be rectified soon. Lifetime has announced that a miniseries about the rap trio's life and times is in the works. Salt-N-Pepa will follow the ladies from their time as nursing students to their meteoric rise as female rap pioneers and barrier breakers in the industry. Cheryl "Salt" James and Sandra "Pepa" Denton will executive produce alongside Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, Jesse Collins and more. Oh, and unlike other Lifetime offerings, it will actually include some of the group's biggest hits. #SaltNPepasHere
