Keri Hilson Writes An Open Later To Explain Her Industry Absence
Singer and songwriter Keri Hilson has been teasing a comeback for a quite a while now though no new material from Ms. "Pretty Girl Rock" has surfaced. After she penned an open letter to fans, though, we may now have an idea as to why. The singer cites "blockages" as the reason why her new material is stalled. "My truth is, I'd love nothing more than to release this incredible music I've been 'sitting on,' and I've been trying for years for that to occur. There have been so many blockages I have constantly fought myself to not directly speak about...wisdom," she wrote. "I've lost some pivotal characters in the process of stepping away for my wellbeing....though I was prepared for the possibility that some wouldn't understand or lose faith in me as an artist while I dealt w/ the trials of my life, it still hurts." Still, while she's battling whatever is stopping her from showcasing her talents, she seems to be keeping a positive attitude about it all. "Music will always be a huge part of who I am, but there is a process in process...challenges that I still must overcome for that work & future work to see the light of day it deserves," she continued.
