For Amerie fans, 2018 will always be remembered as the year she delivered. She gave birth to her first child (an adorable son who turns one next month), but that wasn't the only bundle she dropped. Much to our delight, the singer/actress/author unveiled the surprise double EP set, 4AM Mulholland and After 4AM. Considering this was the largest collection of music she'd released since 2009's In Love & War, it was a pretty big deal.
While last year was all about the music, (so far) 2019 has been all about the visuals. Back in February, a fog machine and Amerie's postpartum curves took the term "smokeshow" to another level in "Curious." Now she's back with a different kind of sizzle for "A Heart's For The Breaking." The lyric video is awash in neon lights for the 4AM Mulholland track. The singer sounds amazing as she alternates between ethereal tones and a trap-soul stutter. But the combined effect of vocals, bright hues, cool graphics and pulsating animation is downright hypnotic.
While we don't see Amerie's lovely face in the visuals below, you can always get a peek into her life via her Twitter and Instagram feeds or her popular YouTube vlogs. Fans can also make plans to see the songstress share the stage with R&B divas like Brandy, Monica, Mya and Ashanti during select dates of Live Nation Urban's inaugural Femme It Forward tour.
