Oh hey there, BANKS! We didn't see you standing over there with new music for us to enjoy. Yep, we slept (but just barely) on news that the talented singer dropped her new single "Gimme" and that she had a new album, tentatively titled III, on its way soon. Still, nothing wakes us up like a well-timed video and BANKS did just that with the release of the visual for "Gimme."
Just as she has done with previous efforts like "Trainwreck," the singer mixes the odd, the sexy and the avant-garde in the colorful clip. This time around, the singer writhes around and dances with a laser show of lights. Doesn't sound too weird, right? Well, the jerky and spastic movements she's making along to the music add just the right bit of creepy to the sexy she's giving off. It's amplified even more when she's joined by a mob of people whom she seems able to manipulate with just a flick of her wrist and a toss of her hair. It's all a bit strange, yet BANKS (who's also showing her fair share of skin here) manages to keep things alluring and sexy like only she can.
With a bold, electronic track like this and her usual flair, we can pretty much guarantee that III will be another feather in BANKS' cap when it arrives this July. Get an eyeful of what's soon to come when you press play.
