Usher & Erykah Badu Tapped To Headline 2019 Smokin Grooves Fest

It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, it's not Christmastime, but it's music festival season! April kicked things off in a mighty way with Coachella, Broccoli City Festival and, the new festival on the block that made a big, star-studded splash this past weekend, Something In The Water. And we're just getting started, folks. The next few months are jampacked with opportunities to attend music festivals and see your faves perform around the world. Now there's another one to add to the growing list with the announcement of the second Smokin Grooves Fest.

Following last year's inaugural Smokin Grooves, which brought an amazing lineup of artists to the stage including Miguel, Jhené Aiko, The Roots and H.E.R., the 2019 roster of performers is just as strong. Headlining this edition of Smokin Grooves Fest are Usher and Erykah Badu, who makes a return appearance after headlining in 2018. She's not the only artist so nice they asked back twice, with Ravyn Lenae and Phony Ppl also back in the mix.

The lineup has someone for every R&B, alt-soul and hip-hop lover to groove to. Ella Mai, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis, Summer Walker, The-Dream, Pink Sweat$, Ari Lennox, Mac Ayres, Leven Kali and the King of R&B in his own mind, Jacquees, will hold it down for the R&B/soul heads. Meanwhile, Common, T-Pain, The Pharcyde, Twista and Slum Village will bring the hip-hop heat to the stage. Believe it or not, there are even more artists scheduled to perform at the one-day festival, which will be hosted by Soulection head honcho Joe Kay.
