The grind doesn’t stop for Ciara Princess Harris Wilson. The songstress is pushing her latest album, Beauty Marks, and the promotion can’t stop, won’t stop. Now the Harvard grad has released a fifth video from the album for the track “Set.”
“Set” is Ciara’s ode to the grind. “I hustle ‘til I pass out,” she proclaims over a mid-tempo trap beat. Produced by Moonbeat, Andy D. Park and Ciara herself, the singer wants you to know that she’s out here trying to get up, get out and get something.
While the clip for “Thinkin’ Bout You” was an over-the-top affair that looked like a scene straight from a romantic comedy, and her hit “Level Up” was a dance extravaganza, the visual for “Set” is pretty bare bones. Basically, after five videos, there’s no need to continue showing out. Here, Ciara is literally just bopping across her tour set up. Dressed in one of Andre 3000’s leftover black jumpsuits and cropped blonde wigs, Cici and her team of dancers perform numerous 2 steps and 8 counts. However, there’s nothing that will inspire a dance challenge any time soon.
Ciara is about to bring her “Set,” along with her catalog of jams to venues around the country. She will co-host and perform a selection of hits at NBC’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, and will hit the road for her North American tour starting September 13th.
