H.E.R. To Show That R&B Is Not Dead At Inaugural 'Lights On Festival' With Jhené Aiko, Ari Lennox & More

Fresh from performing at the Soul Beach Music Festival in Aruba and Roots Picnic in Philly and weeks away from hitting the stage at the 25th-anniversary ESSENCE Festival, GRAMMY Award winner H.E.R. announces that she'll be performing at yet another music festival this summer – her very own!

Coming to Concord, California on Saturday, September 14th is the inaugural Lights On Festival. Named after H.E.R.'s 2017 single "Lights On," the festival is curated by the singer-songwriter-musician who will also headline the day-long event. Produced in conjunction with Live Nation Urban, the theme of the Lights On Festival is "R&B is not dead," which is plastered all over the flyers and something that we know to be a fact here at SoulBounce (because #RnBLives, you know). But for all the remaining nonbelievers out there, H.E.R. is going to show and prove with a lineup stacked with many talented R&B and alt-soul artists of today.

Joining H.E.R. at the Lights On Festival will be numerous SoulBounce faves and up-and-comers alike, including Jhené Aiko, Daniel Caesar, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, Kiana Ledé, DaniLeigh, Melii, Lucky Daye, Marc E. Bassy, LONR, Tone Stith, bLAck pARty and Rayana Jay. Believe it or not, more artists are still scheduled to be announced, and they'll all be seen live on one of two stages at the Concord Pavilion, the site of the festival and someplace near and dear to H.E.R.'s heart.

“Concord Pavilion is the ultimate venue. It is the perfect place to bring people from all over the Bay. I have many memories watching shows and DREAMING I’d be able to perform there. The Bay Area is my home…it’s a dream come true to host my festival there,” she ecstatically stated via press release. H.E.R. is excited about her upcoming festival and so are we. Join us in our excitement by making plans to find your way to Concord by any means necessary to attend the Lights On Festival this September. Tickets at various levels go on pre-sale on Wednesday, June 12th and full sale on Friday, June 14th via the Lights On Festival website.
