The Toronto-bred beauty chose the unmatched charm and tranquility of Port Antonio, Jamaica to capture the dreamy and nostalgic vibe of the track. We watch with envy as she roams among the island’s lush greenery, explores breathtaking waterfalls and lounges in a colorful hammock just outside of her adorable bungalow. Everything in this visual — from the beautiful people to the Caribbean landscape — has us ready to book a flight and steal away with the one we love.
Directed and shot by a l l i e and her bestie Gillian Mapp, the video exudes the warmth and candid energy of a video diary. Though polished, we find the authenticity and simplicity of the capture most appealing. Touted as one of the most untouched locations on the island, a l l i e says, “We tried to show a side of Jamaica that most tourists don’t see. We found a lot of joy in this little cabin on the hill and we wanted to convey that through the visual.” She also used the journey as an opportunity to re-engage with her roots and says, “I was so thankful to experience the peace that comes with simplicity and just exist and create with my friend in paradise.”
