Sometimes love can catch you by surprise – even a veteran in the game like Chanté Moore. That very scenario faces the R&B diva in her new single “Fresh Love.”
“Baby, I don’t know where we’re going / But I’m going there with you,” she sings over an easy like Sunday morning sound bed of keys, synths and bass. She’s falling deep and hard for a new guy who’s come into her life, and you can feel it in her breezy vocals and harmonies, which sound as if she’s floating while singing the song. Although she appears pensive about where this relationship might be going, it feels like she’s already decided this is the real thing.
Moore complements the light-hearted song with an equally charming video featuring her real-life real one. In the clip, we watch as Moore and her leading man fall in love through a series of dates at the El Matador State Beach. We witness them feeding each other at a picnic, then later the love birds go for a little roller skating at a park. Finally, the two meet for a romantic walk on the beach. Moore makes the video a family affair with a cameo from her teenage son KJ Lattimore in a beach scene with a young lady.
“Fresh Love” is the first new music we've received from Chanté Moore in 2019, and we gladly welcome her return. We're assuming that the track will be featured on the second installment her four-part EP series, which she began with the 1 of 4 EP that dropped last spring.
