As a large part of North America stares down the barrel of a record-breaking heat wave, Tank and the Bangas' rolls in like a cool and breezy respite with their latest visual for "Hot Air Balloons." Shot entirely on an iPhone, the colorful video provides the perfect backdrop to the third single taken from the group's Green Balloon album.
From the opening shot, the video is filled to the brim with the infectious cheeriness that Tarriona "Tank" Ball and crew is best known for. With New Orleans' Lakefront in the background, Tank and her bandmates frolic around in colorful puffy suits that are equal parts Teletubbies and Missy Elliott-inspired. It's hard to resist the power of Tank's bright smile as she stares into the camera. Although she doesn't make a physical appearance, singer Alex Isley lends her vocals to the relaxing song.
Towards the song's end, the scene shifts as the group, now decked out in all white, playful attack one another with vibrantly colored powder reminiscent of the Hindu Holi celebration. The band seems to genuinely be filled with the kind of joy that seeps through the screen, leaving everyone within view in a better mood.
