PJ Morton Offers Encouragement With 'Don't Let Go'

The Super Bowl, GRAMMY gold, multiple tours, a new gospel imprint, a live recording and a fantastic new album called PAUL – to simply say this has been a productive year for PJ Morton would be an understatement.  Even now as he's preparing to hit the road for the remainder of the year, he continues to amaze and inspire us with his latest creative output, a music video for "Don't Let Go."

PJ has already admitted that PAUL is “the most honest expression of myself and my art that I’ve ever made." And though "Don't Let Go" holds the distinction of being the shortest track in the collection, it is also, perhaps, the album's most stirring piece. Not only does the acoustic ballad bring a word of encouragement, it feels like PJ is talking directly to you as he sings, "I know it's been so hard and you don't know what it all means / But don't you ever let go / See, there's a reason you're still standin' after all you've seen / So don't you ever let go."

The Nathan Corrona-directed visual takes it a step further as the lens remains focused on a troubled young woman contemplating suicide. It's a simple, yet profound reminder that even if you feel you're at the end of your rope to hold on and don't let go. Watch the powerful clip below and don't forget to share.
