Madison McFerrin Makes 'Room' For 'You + I' EP & Announces North American Tour

As she gears up to release her new EP, singer/songwriter Madison McFerrin serves fans with a sweet taste of what’s to come. Her latest single “No Room” describes the separate togetherness of humanity. Though advancements in technology and social media have seemingly connected us in ways like never before, somehow our differences have become magnified and entire communities continue to be marginalized. The track is soothing to the ear while the lyrics pierce listeners to their core, forcing them to reflect on our social state as she sings, “Maybe there's no room / In this empty space (Space) / Maybe we're too soon / For this time and place (Place).”

For the stunning accompanying visual, the Brooklyn-based beauty sought the talents of directors Chris Osagie, Vrinda Jagota and Zolzaya B. The result is equal parts art and eye-candy as she strikes poses adorned in avant garde fashion against picturesque backdrops. She says the goal was to “evoke a sense of isolated contemplation and yearning for connection that many of us feel these days.” She continues, “It was beautiful how this evolved into a communal DIY project that brought strangers together to create an example of what's possible when we don't let our differences keep us from connecting and collaborating in service of a greater vision."

Get inspired by Madison McFerrin’s “No Room,” and be sure pre-order her forthcoming EP You + I on Bandcamp before its release on December 4th. Whereas her previous EP series Finding Foundations seemed to reflect an internal examination, she describes the new project as an outward perspective.  "As an artist, I believe it is our responsibility to hold up a mirror to society," Madison says, "and that reflection is exactly what You + I is about." While we wait, make plans to catch her North American tour, which kicks off November 21st in Los Angeles, CA.  Madison will headline 13 shows across the continent before wrapping up December 15th in Toronto, Canada.
