Alicia Keys Delivers 'The Christmas Song' Just In Time For the Holidays

With little over a week to go before Christmas Day, Alicia Keys has decided to drop some holiday newness following her hit singles "Show Me Love" (feat. Miguel) and "Time Machine." Rather than offer up an original tune, the GRAMMY hostess opts for a stripped-down version of perennial classic "The Christmas Song."

Though Keys adopts a fairly straight-forward approach, fans will find the piano-driven arrangement quite endearing. Her "Chopsticks"-style arrangement might straddle the fence between sweet and hokey for some, but our girl manages to infuse the standard with some jazzy minor chords and classical embellishments before using her trademark fiery vocals to end with a flourish.

It's been a celebratory month for the singer, who recently notched a record-extending 11th No. 1 on the Adult R&B chart ("Show Me Love"), along with receiving the American Express Impact Award at Billboard’s 14th annual Women in Music event. Next year promises to be even bigger as she plans to release her seventh studio album, ALICIA, and her autobiography, More Myself: A Journey. Until then, visit your favorite retailer to download "The Christmas Song" for your seasonal soundtrack.
