Louis York Are In Their Element In 'How Will I Feel'

After buzzing around for years, duo Louis York finally made things officially official with their debut full-length album American Griots. The group, comprised of singer-songwriter Claude Kelly and songwriter-producer Chuck Harmony, have been rocking it on the music front. Surprisingly, though, the eclectic duo hasn't done much on the visual front outside of releasing a clip for their reimagining of Des'ree's "You Gotta Be." They rectify that, though, with the release of their latest video "How Will I Feel."

"How Will I Feel" is for all intents and purposes a power ballad. Strings soar, Chuck plays the hell out of the piano and Claude's voice aims for the rafters. Perhaps feeling the power ballad energy, the fellas have made a video that reminds us of the power ballads of yesterday. The entire clip is filmed in black and white and focuses just on Louis York. Chuck sits at the piano as candles burn bright on the candelabra perched upon it. Claude stands at his side dressed in an ornate coat as he belts out the song's lyrics. The approach highlights the lyrics — which focus on letting go of pride and hurt feelings to express how you really feel — in a powerful way while also showing off the musical chemistry that make the fellas such a great team.

American Griots, which dropped back in October, is full of songs of the same caliber as "How Will I Feel" as well as a few unexpected moments you have to hear. If you haven't purchased your copy, we highly recommend that you do so ASAPtually. But first, check out their undeniable talent when you watch "How Will I Feel" right here.
