Tinashe is back at it again. The singer, who gave us life with 2019's Songs For You, is taking advantage of her newly indie status by readying her next album, 333. The set promises to once again give us the goods and, to prove it, she's offering its Buddy-featuring lead single "Pasadena."
"Pasadena" has Cali vibes written all over it — and that's not just because of its title. The track gives off warm, relaxed vibes thanks to layered backing vocals and a lilting guitar loop. All that mellow is balanced by a frenetic rhythm section consisting of drums and hand claps that propel it forward like a car headed down Pacific Coast Highway. That feeling is helped along by Tinashe and Buddy on the chorus, where they chant, "Feelin' right, feelin’ right, feelin' right / Livin' life, it’s the life (Hey, hey, hey) / Feelin' free, feelin' free, feelin' right / It's a vibe, feelin' right." Buddy also offers a solo verse to accent the vibe before Tinashe brings it home as everything fades to a mellow conclusion.
