Lonr. Is Entangled In 'Read My Mind'

Singer-songwriter Lonr., whose name is an acronym for “Land Of Nothing Real” for those wondering, made a splash with his first single “A.M.” in 2019. Discovered by H.E.R., he’s been the pen behind songs such as “As I Am,” “Feel A Way” and others and he dueted with the songstress on last year's "Make The Most." Now he’s hooked up with singer/rapper Yung Bleu for the single “Read My Mind.”

Over an intoxicating groove of keys, stuttering drums and synths, Lonr. fantasizes about the good life with his secret lover. On the first verse, he admits that they "both know right from wrong," but they just can't stay away from each other. “She just wanna live / We always say, 'One more time' / We just wanna dream all night / Thinkin' she could change my life / Run away, it's just you and I,” he sings on the chorus about wanting to get away with his entanglement. Yung Bleu makes a strong entry on the second verse. It’s not so much his lyrics, which are clever and on the raunchy side of intimate, but the charisma of his delivery.

The song is brought to life in a visual that gives more context to Lonr.'s love affair. In the clip, we see him riding around in the back of a limo with a friend, his girl and some other peeps. Lonr. and old girl lock eyes with each other and a fantasy sequence begins that shows them escaping into the night together. Yung Bleu plays the wingman, talking his ish and posturing next to Lonr. while standing on the roof of a bus. Meanwhile, the fantasy changes from night to day, with Lonr. and his boo laying down in a field of wildflowers. While the fantasy is nice, is there any chance of it becoming reality? Watch the video to see how this scandalous scenario plays out.
