Tank And The Bangas Do It 'Big' With An Assist From Big Freedia

One thing about New Orleans is that no matter what adversity its citizens might face, the city's spirit will always persevere. That includes the many artists that call it home, including Tank and the Bangas and Big Freedia. The NOLA natives finally get together to give us some of that signature New Orleans bounce and soul with their new single "Big."

"Big" aims to capture that rambunctious spirit associated with the city and it succeeds in spades. Marrying the bounce stylings of Freedia and the soul sound of Tank and the Bangas, the short but sweet single is designed to get bodies moving and booties shaking to its rhythm. The cut finds the group's vocalist Tarriona "Tank" Ball bragging about how big she likes to do it. "Big ass / Big mouth / Big things / Big house / Everything I do is big / Chillin' at Big Freedia's house," she spits as Big Freedia offers ad-libs in the background. As Tank keeps the big talk going, she reminds us that she has the juice to make us bounce.

That juice becomes the subject of the song's video, as Tank and Freedia play scientists who discover a juice that gets the whole block bouncin' and shakin' to their beat. It also manages to transport them to different settings as the crew has a blast while changing outfits and scenery like the weather. It's all so good that when the short-and-funky cut comes to an end, you hate to see it go. Luckily, Tank and Freedia close the clip with one last bit that's sure to leave you laughing.
