After owning 2021 with her critically acclaimed and universally beloved project Heaux Tales, Jazmine Sullivan is ready to make 2022 her year, too. The soulful songstress has just announced that an expanded edition, Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe, will be released on Friday, February 11th.
This deluxe edition to her GRAMMY-nominated Heaux Tales promises "new tracks and new tales." This newness will live alongside singles "Lost One," "Pick Up Your Feelings," "Girl Like Me" featuring H.E.R. and maybe even last summer's one-off "Tragic."
We had a sneaking suspicion that Sullivan was working on a follow-up to Heaux Tales when she posted two Reels to Instagram at the end of December. The first video was a steady shot of a mixing console with the words "Jazzy's tale" on screen while a voiceover of Jazmine speaking played. The second video was of a computer screen as a snippet of a previously unheard song played. Both videos sent fans into a frenzy, racking up thousands of comments and reposts in the process.
It appears as if Jazzy was giving her adoring public a sneak peek at Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe at the time. Her strategy worked because now we cannot wait to hear her sharing and singing more of her truth on this new edition. There's no word yet on when or if a new single and/or music video from this revamped project will drop, but we have a good feeling that Jazmine Sullivan is nowhere near done surprising us yet. Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe is currently available for pre-order/pre-save in advance of its February 11th release.
